The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience/expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and guide others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
As Lead Engineer-Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for:-
- Managing with support from Engineering Manager team of Engineers, Lead Engineers & Contractor Engineers within Surface Pressure Control covering several engineering functions.
- Providing Operational leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
- Providing inputs and influencing decisions within team to support business growth and individual career of team members.
- Monitoring Team performance including critical KPI’s and take corrective action if needed.
- Dealing directly with Project function for operational support & project execution.
- Managing team on Execution of the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Providing timely communications to other cross functional team including Business leadership on developments, risks and recommendations over project execution.
- Participating as approver in technical and program reviews and relevant engineering documentation.
- Providing support for both internal and external customers and vendors.
- Being involved in complex decision making, sometimes with external parties related to team operations.
To be successful in this role you will:-
- Have a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Have 5 + years of experience in Surface pressure control
- Have experience with API 6A / 17D / 5L and other relevant Industry standards / specifications
- Have Strong Team management and operational skill.
- Have a Six Sigma training
- Have knowledge of Solid Mechanics and Machine Design
