Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • To Evaluate New Part request (NPR)/ New material creation process & guide designers to use standard components & Vestas standard base materials
  • The primary activities are based on CAD model, documentation, UNSPSC classification attributes & material description
  • Propel and coordinate the task across Vestas globally and build good network within this area of responsibility
  • On-time execution of tasks and strict to the defined SLA
  • Support NPR/Standardization supervise on master data/standardization activities like material data analysis, material selector update and classification of component according to UNSPSC code system
  • Support NPR/Standardization lead in preparing guidelines and process
  • Track & communicate the daily status/issues in a clear and precise manner to peers and management
  • Accurate, investigative and systematic approaches and high level of quality deliverables
  • Necessary flexibility whenever support may be required

Qualifications And Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Electrical / Electronic / Similar engineering
  • 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience from WTG domain or Engineering industries like Aerospace / Automotive / Energy Sector
  • Analyze and review UNSPSC & attributes values/Technical data
  • Will act as a gatekeeper to authorize/approve technical data in NPR
  • Investigate if Vestas have an identical/duplicate component in our system already
  • Decide if requested component complies with the rules described for each commodity & suggest the suitable material standardization Preference code
  • Be able to evaluate if commonly known standard components looks like requested material
  • In a dialog with requester, clarify any details are missing in request and to inform requester about duplicate components or missing compliance with rules
  • Enriching the EU tax commodity code & Traceability and Spend class attributes
  • Ensure Master Data Governance and quality

Competencies:-

  • Experienced in general Electrical & Electronics Engineering (e.g. medium and high voltage)
  • Good knowledge in global Industry Electrical standards (IEC standards, etc.,), approvals and practices
  • Good knowledge in product design and product value chain (e.g. New product development)
  • Good knowledge in Electrical components like control panels, cable, switch gears, transformers, generator, lighting, power supply, Enclosure & boxes
  • Extensive technical understanding of Electrical & Electronics component specifications (Technical specification, drawings, etc.,)
  • Good technical understanding of supplier catalogues parts & industry standard parts (off-the-shelf components)
  • Experience in Product Life Cycle, Process Management
  • Basic skills on Tools, process (SAP, PDMlink and PLM) & CAD for viewing 3D models
  • Good Technical task coordination & communication skills
