Job Description

Department Description:-

The domain Enterprise Applications is primarily responsible for translating the business requirements into enterprise IT applications and implementing, maintaining and supporting the applications. Furthermore Enterprise Applications has the responsibility to ensure alignment between the IT strategy and business strategy, and to ensure the alignment between information application architecture and business requirements.

Role / Purpose:-

The BPE is the link between NXP Business Processes and IT Solutions.

With in depth knowledge on the way PLM (Product lifecycle Management) business requirements are translated into current IT solutions, the BPE will be responsible to translate new and changing business requirements into future IT solutions, leveraging existing applications and standard packaged solutions where possible.

The BPE will be part of Agile teams that deliver features over time. The roles may vary over time as we expect BPE’s to be flexible. From Scrum Master and Product Owner or as member of the Agile Team, taking care about configuration and testing the solutions.

The BPE carries responsibility for application control for their area of responsibility. This includes the functionality of the business logic as well as the quality of the implementation.

Relationships:-

  • Business representatives: to identify requirements and to discuss solution alternatives and to organize acceptance activities. The BPE needs to ensure an active and productive network with all relevant business stakeholders.
  • Solution Architect: to align solution concepts and designs with enterprise and solution architecture principles
  • Product Owner: To define the scope, timing and resource requirements of activities and to align demand for resources and to co-assess resources.
  • Developers from ESP: need to relate to consultants bringing process expertise and implementation teams that will pick-up specifications to be implemented.
  • Other BPE’s within Enterprise Apps and IT: Understand the process and its supporting application to discuss, align and propose integration solutions.

Role context:-

Collaborate with the Product Owners from Supply Chain or R&D to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria. Participate in PI Planning and create Iteration plans and Team PI Objectives. Develop and commit to Team PI Objectives and iteration goals Estimate the size and complexity of their work.
Determine the technical design in their area of concern, within the architectural guidelines.
Conduct research, design, prototype, and other exploration activities
Implement and integrate changes in small batches Create and test the work products defined by their features.
Test the work products defined by their features. Deploy the work products to staging and production Support operational business solutions Support and/or create the automation necessary to build the continuous delivery pipeline
We just started a big program to implement Aras Innovator supporting our PLM processes

Scope:-

All platforms and applications that are used to support global PLM processes. That will include legacy platforms like Enovia and Oracle Agile. Main platform to be developed is Aras Innovator. Integration with downstream applications that use the Product Master Data that is created and maintained in the PLM platforms.
The BPE will be encouraged to broaden the horizon within the own solution team and across other solution teams.

Reporting:- 

  • Hierarchically the Business Process Expert reports to the SCM & PLM IT Solution Manager.

Responsibilities:-

  • Within assigned business process or technology scope and within project/program context, translates business requirements into IT solution.
  • In depth knowledge on the specific way business processes are designed and executed within NXP and the way these are implemented in IT solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to solution architecture by implementation teams in line with enterprise standards.
  • Excellent understanding of the impact of IT solutions at the operational, organizational and financial level of the business and able to influence the business in their approach towards IT.
  • Excellent understanding of the SAFe Agile framework and familiar with DevOps environments.

Your Profile:-

  • Good understanding of PLM processes and Master Data and their importance for smooth operations within a company.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills as well as ability to teach junior developers and explain solutions from high to low level.
  • Experience to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with business and IT in defining and executing large projects and change programs.
  • Team player that is open to ideas from others.
  • 8 years of experience in the field of Information Technology (Consultancy, Project or Development domain) and Master data or Integration technologies.
  • Experience in SW development, SAFe Framework, Agile teams and or in PLM domain will help.
  • Master’s degree in information technology or similar. Good understanding of the PLM business processes and of the way these are translated into IT solutions
  • Good understanding the an enterprise application landscape, principles and standards, to the level that supports decision making on integration solutions within enterprise applications.
