Job Description

The Junior Design Engineer, Project Engineering will be based in Hyderabad. Onboarding may be virtual for the time being with occasional socially distanced meetings at a Nextracker office. In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager. The candidate would be working on utility scale solar PV projects located around the globe, right from the development stage to construction support. Candidate will also be working with other design engineers & structural engineers to propose the best possible project design.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:-

  • Create AutoCAD layouts for Solar Power Plants using NX tracker design
  • Perform Slope analysis
  • Generating Slope Map with the site Contours using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare Bill of Material
  • Use templates and guidelines to create layouts and drawing

Here is some of what you will need (required):-

  • BE/B Tech/BS degree in Civil/Mechanical with (2-4) years’ experience in CAD detailing in construction industry
  • Through knowledge of AutoCAD 2D commands or any other equivalent CAD environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prepare structural part drawings as per standards
  • Good knowledge on drafting and detailing standards
  • Very good communication skills

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:-

  • Experience in solar industry is preferred but not compulsory
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
  • Working level knowledge of AutoCAD Civil-3D
  • Optional knowledge of PV Syst, L-Pile, Staad Pro.
