Job Description

We are looking for an HSE Specialist for Valmet’s Flow Control Operations in India to lead locations’ HSE operations and integrate HSE into the business. The purpose of the HSE Specialist of locations’ HSE Operations is to:

  • Manage and deliver the provision of effective and efficient HSE services and support, for all organizations in the location(s) of Flow Control India – Vadodara, Gujarat
  • Implement effective HSE systems and strong safety culture to support business objectives, including fulfillment of legal, customer and Valmet requirements
  • Drive managers’ ownership and leadership of the HSE system and culture
  • Drive employees’ participation in the HSE system & culture

main Responsibilities:-

  • Provision of HSE services in the locations, Improvement plans, initiatives and actions
  • Act as local subject matter expert (SME) for HSE and point of contact
  • Develop, maintain, and implement Global Management System
  • Report the performance of HSE with quality data on time
  • Support the management in initiating well-being activities and all other HSE-related initiatives,
  • Support India HSE team, when needed

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Engineering / Science Degree, any discipline, preferably Mechanical engineering
  • Lead auditor Certificate in ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
  • Industrial Safety Diploma or Certificate obtained in India (Gujarat)
  • Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English at a very good level is a must
  • Strong knowledge and very good experience in Industrial legal compliance tasks like Factory Act 1948 and relevant state rules and pollution norms
  • The skills of auditing, decision-making, presentation, and conflict management are a must
