Grid Modelling Engineer

Responsibilities:-

🔹 Grid Modeling & Simulation:-

• Develop and refine transmission and distribution network models for system performance analysis.

• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, dynamic, and contingency analyses to assess grid stability.

🔹 Optimization & Network Performance:-

• Identify and mitigate grid constraints and operational inefficiencies to enhance system reliability.

• Support grid modernization efforts, ensuring efficient integration of renewable energy sources.

🔹 Advanced Analytical Tools & Automation:-

• Utilize industry-standard software such as PSS®E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, or EMTP for simulations.

• Develop automation scripts and algorithms to improve modeling accuracy and efficiency.

🔹 Technical Advisory & Stakeholder Collaboration:-

• Provide data-driven insights to utilities, grid operators, and renewable energy developers.

• Support grid expansion and modernization projects through technical recommendations.

🔹 Innovation & Research:-

• Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in power grids, HVDC, smart grids, and renewable integration.

• Contribute to technical papers and industry best practices in power system modeling.

Qualifications & Skills:-

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in power system analysis, grid modeling, and network simulations.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as PSS®E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, or similar simulation software.
• Deep understanding of transmission and distribution networks, as well as renewable energy integration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
