Job Description

  • Provide support for desktop operations and local site server systems.
  • Upkeep high standard of IT service quality and delivery
  • System administration, development, security, and support of all relevant infrastructure.
  • Vendor management and IT procurement
  • Manage IT inventory and asset lifecycle

Responsibilities:-

  • Incident and request management via Service Desk hotline and ticketing system.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for desktop support and local server systems.
  • Level 1 support and troubleshooting on network, application, and shared services
  • Level 1 and 2 troubleshooting for computers, peripherals, mobile devices and desktop and in-house application.
  • Assist Manager/Supervisor in development of desktop support and local server systems strategy.
  • Configuration, installation & deployment of all PC’s and PC related peripherals.
  • Configuration, installation, deployment & support of desktop management suite.
  • Server/network/computer hardware and software installation and maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
  • Perform system analysis and utilization reports as required.
  • Perform daily backup procedures as defined by technical leads.
  • Implementation and support of network operating systems and services.
  • IT product/vendor sourcing and procurement.
  • IT asset inventory and audit.
  • Provide user and administrative support for desktop and local server systems.
  • Participate in projects or teams and directed by the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Develop documentation for IT systems, procedure, and user guide.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate desktop and server related procedures and ensure these procedures are enforced.
  • Develop & maintain appropriate disaster recovery procedures.
  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.
  • Keep abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Qualifications:-

  • Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or relevant qualifications with 2 – 5 years relevant working experience
  • 3 years previous IT Service Desk and/or Call Centre experience
  • 3 years’ experience of desktop support.
  • 3 years’ experience of network applications / operating systems / hardware.
  • 3 years’ experience implementing and maintaining Windows 2008/2012 based application servers.
  • Good English oral and written communication skills
  • Added advantage with ITIL, MCP, MCSA, CCNA and Network+ certification(s)
  • Added advantage with experience in regulated industry (e.g., FDA, ISO, Automotive, or Aerospace)

  • Excellent knowledge of network operating systems and applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft O/S, Server and Desktop
  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems.
  • Good team player
  • Basic User & Security Group Active Directory administration
