Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Gas Turbine startup and commissioning activities at site.
  • Control loop tuning, valve calibration and commissioning of Open loop control system and closed loop controls system.
  • Perform third party communication. Eg.  ELC, SLC, SCADA, OPC etc.
  • Loop and device checking and necessary modifications in the logic, graphics and database as per customer/ site requirements.
  • Configuration/ troubleshooting of Historian, AMS (Asset Management System), Advance algorithms etc.
  • Regular site updates to customer, front office and engineering center.
  • Internal as well as external punch point clearance.
  • Fill and complete the document requirement as per commissioning procedure.
  • Site walkdown and collection of inputs for retrofit projects.
  • Actively manage controls activities on site during Installation & Commissioning, including but not limited to oversight of troubleshooting and diagnostics on Gas turbine and auxiliary systems.
  • Site management and coordination with customer
  • Provide remote technical support to engineers, deputed on site.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Attend technical meetings with Customers.
  • Provide post-commissioning Customer Service Support.
  • Ensure all in-field activities are carried out safely complying with company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • 1st Division or equivalent GPA 10th / 12th / Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in Engineering from four-year College or University.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Gas Turbine system startup, commissioning engineering activities.
  • Experience working for a major turbine manufacturer or turbine controls vendor (e.g. GE, Siemens, Westinghouse, ABB, Alstom, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Toshiba, etc.).
  • Gas Turbine process knowledge.
  • Experience with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as may be required.
  • Read and interpret electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams
  • Understand PLC ladder logic, including basic understanding of how to navigate through ladder rungs while troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills:-

  • Ability to influence others and be a good team player.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and technical documents.
