Job Description

  • As Quality & Functional Safety Manager you will be leading the Quality activities and be part of setting the safety strategy for projects / products. You will drive proactive & reactive quality initiatives. You will enable the team with FMEA, DFA & DFAM and lead functional safety related discussions in IS26262 – ASPICE management.
  • You will apply your knowledge and experience to analyze quality & functional safety risks and identify the requirements. These activities are performed in a cross-functional manner involving colleagues from different Volvo group organizations and from sister organization in Sweden.
  • You will contribute to the knowledge management activities in Quality & Functional safety.
  • The role promotes creativity, passion for technology and multi-cultural communication skills.

  • You will be part of the Electromobility Leadership team, reporting to Vice President Electromobility, India; playing an important role and contributing in setting vision, strategy and be part of the growth story.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Bachelor or a master’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Embedded Systems, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ year experience from product development in the automotive/transport industry
  • Broad experience of control system and function development in highly complex systems is required
  • You have an extensive experience in development of safety critical systems with a broad understanding and insight of system engineering, architecture, and HW/SW-development.
  • Experienced in Product Quality area & IS26262
  • Strong drive and energy level with ability to create a high performing working culture
  • A networking leader with courage, integrity who can lead and drive changes together with the team
  • Result oriented and always looking for improvements in our way of working

  • Communicative and with good influencing skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
