Firmware development Sr Engineer

• The required profile will be in charge of Firmware development for Solar Central Inverters.
• He/she will focus on application-level programming in C++, build & test automation in Python.

ACTIVITIES:-

• Write & maintain code in C++ for solar central inverters while following FIMER coding guidelines
• Write Build & Test Automation scripts in Python for automating build & testing processes when necessary.
• Preparation of documentation for software releases such as Master documentation, Release notes and Change notes.
• Support testing, cross functional teams & product development teams if any issues arise while testing the firmware
• Version control using git tools such as tortoise git.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:-

TECHNICAL SKILLS
MUST HAVE:-

• C, C++, Python.
• Real time firmware development (microprocessors/microcontrollers/DSPs) experience on any industry standard Real Time Operating System such as FreeRTOS, Vxworks, UNICOS etc.,
• Fundamentals of Digital Electronics and Digital Signal Processing concepts, with work experience on embedded system design or maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge and Hands-on experience on operating system concepts, state machines.
• Experience working with embedded tool chains & IDEs/Code Editor such as VS Code, code warrior, Kiel etc.
• Knowledge of Modbus & Fieldbus concepts.

NICE TO HAVE:-

• Ability to use DSO or other lab equipment.
• Knowledge of working on simulation hardware such as Typhoon Hardware in the Loop simulator. Automated testing using python HIL APIs.
• Ability to read electrical and control schematics.
• Knowledge of SCADA and PLC

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:-
MUST HAVE:-

• Ability to follow-up and collaborate with various teams till closure.
• Should be a Fast learner and must have ability to adapt to the changes quickly.

NICE TO HAVE:-

• Quick support to cross functional teams.
