Job Description

The position is situated in Bangalore, India. You will be actively working with R&D teams in Denmark, Finland & India. The team is currently developing software for the Immunoassay analyzer in Radiometer’s product portfolio. Team proficiencies are primarily front-end windows development and SW Verification and validation. Our software is developed in close collaboration with the other half of the SW team located in Copenhagen, Denmark. In your role, you will be responsible for the software verification team team located in IDC, Bangalore,. You will be operationally reporting into the Site Lead at Radiometer IDC  and functionally will report in to the (on a day to day basis) with the Immunoassay R&D Director at Copenhagen Denmark.

Responsibilities:-

  • Drive our software verification strategy within the Immunoassay team
  • Secure the competencies and organizational development to fulfil current and future needs supporting Radiometer IA long term strategy and growth
  • Setting the performance objectives for the team, and ensuring the team able to deliver accordingly
  • Forecasting expenses during the year and budgeting during H2 for next year.
  • Resource planning together with PM’s
  • Protecting team against unplanned work.
  • Deliver continuous improvements from the team by reducing waste and still delivering on quality, time, and cost.
  • Plan the technology and tools used for maintaining the product together with SW PO and test leads.

Key Accountabilities & Qualifications:-

  •   Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering
  •   Min 3 years of experience in leadership role within product development/R&D preferably medical device development managing SW verification Engineers.
  •   Experience in developing diverse teams and creating inclusive environment where people thrive and feel like they belong
  • ~12 years experience in planning, monitoring, and control of SW verification activities (Automatic & manual testing)
  • Experience working with requirements, verification protocols and test reports
  • Able to make data driven decisions in the face of ambiguous or changing priorities and goals
  • Good understanding of software development processes, preferably for a regulated medical devices environment (IEC 62304) or HealthCare domain.
  • Solid understanding of Agile SW Development – Trained in Agile Methodologies is desirable.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Attention to details & doesn’t shy away from rolling the sleeves and contributing
  • Fast Learner with a great team player attitude.
  • Working experience in Healthcare – Therapeutic and diagnostic devices
  • Travel required is only 10-15% and only on need basis.
