Engineering Manager – Electrical

You will be working as Engineering Manager-Electrical and will be part of Motion Business Area for Large Motors & Generators based in Vadodara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Regional Division President – MOLM and will be responsible for managing a team of designers/ engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulating plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Initiating, coordinating, driving and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

Responsibilities:-

• Ensuring development of performance targets in line with global/local targets and their achievement through regular oversight, defining required actions for improvement
• Ensuring delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements and driving development of processes/practices based on customer feedback
• Defining and ensuring implementation of operating guidelines for team and overseeing progress within own area of responsibility, identifies and manages technical issues
• Supporting local division in establishing and deploying required frameworks/processes. Conducting and following-up certification process jointly with division
• Ensuring that all HSE and integrity related policies and standards are strictly adhered to and followed in local engineering unit/team and the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
• Ensuring the portfolio of projects/operations value chain follows sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, and that projects are closed as per contracts
• Participating in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints
• Ensuring that engineering teams are adequately resourced, developed, and equipped to meet business needs and monitoring quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement and overseeing improvement activities

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s in engineering (electrical / mechanical)
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in rotating machines
• Skills such as people management and collaboration are necessary
• Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
