Job Description

  • Experience in Load flow studies, system loss calculations, short circuit analysis, transient & dynamic stability analysis, voltage stability analysis, performing short circuit, arc flash, and voltage drop analysis
  • Analyze and interpret the data received from customer such as existing system models, station one-line diagrams etc.
  • Develop detailed electrical system models for different operating scenarios utilizing client specific software such as ETAP, CYME, Synergi, ASPEN, PSS®E or similar.
  • Perform power system studies including power flow, short circuit, protection coordination, stability, arc flash, harmonics, and grounding etc.
  • Evaluate options, write clear and concise reports; and present study results to clients.
  • Regularly discuss, correspond, and meet with team manager to ensure that system studies are completed on time and to the customer’s specification.
  • Assist the team in writing proposals and business development activities.
  • May include travel to customer’s site to collect data, take measurements, label equipment, or discuss report conclusions and recommendations.
  • Assist the team in performing steady state and short circuit studies on bulk transmission system on a need basis.
  • Provide written reports, analytical data analysis, presentations or other client communications detailing the results / outputs of distribution or transmission planning analyses
  • Functional knowledge of Balance of Plant (BoP), Including Transformer, switchgear, cables/overhead, Lines, reactors, STATCOM technical specifications, Earthing design calculation as per IS/IEEE.
  • Knowledge & experience of Wind/Solar farm modeling
  • Knowledge of LGBR and understanding of LGBR preparation

Qualification And Experience:-

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering with majors in Energy or similar
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Familiars with Power Systems Analysis tools such as PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, etc.
  • Ability to solve complex tasks independently
  • Team-player attitude, good communication skills and assertiveness
  • Familiarity with applicable NESC, NEC and NFPA standards;
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
