Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Implementation of ‘World Class Shop floor practices’ in the department.
  • Maintaining Documents as per IMS requirements.
  • Perform business related transaction in SAP like order creation, order confirmation, BOM creation, Routing creation, Releasing of purchase order for all sub-con vendors etc.
  • Planning and scheduling production activities.
  • Prepare, update & monitor order execution plans & get all necessary clearances from sales for invoicing of the orders.
  • Connect with Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning to ensure seamless flow of information and fully integrated approach to delivering key metrics – Customer Service, Inventory, and Cost.
  • Coordinate with Production department regarding completion of jobs based on need date & take suitable corrective actions wherever necessary.
  • Work as interface between Sales, Purchase, Production and Logistics to meet any customer urgency.
  • Follow-up for information & materials from various related departments to ensure on time readiness of the products.
  • Develop and maintain process, and procedure documentation for planning including flowcharts, SOP’s, detailed descriptions and so forth.
  • Review capacity demand vs installed capacity and address potential problems.
  • Analyse effectiveness of Production Plans by comparing vs actual to monitor the variances.
  • Create level loaded Master Production Schedule while maintaining Inventory related analysis and activities.
  • Maintain a valid capacity requirement plan that supports the master production schedule.
  • Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues.
  • Establish and monitor SAP system parameters, including safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories.
  • Monitoring of weekly/monthly Master Production Schedules.
  • Review and action exception messages on a weekly basis.
  • Work with Senior Managers and Sales to reserve capacity as necessary for specific jobs.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in Production planning & control.
  • Analytical in nature.
  • Trained on basic lean concepts would be added advantage.
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred.
  • Very good knowledge about basic business processes.
