- Provide engineering support as required for E&D projects mainly New Product Development, Cost Reduction, Quality Improvement and Sustaining Engineering
- Design and develop system level constructions and/or modifications to meet product design requirements.
- Coordinate the creation and / or create design models and drawings.
- Coordinate prototype construction and experimental testing. Assist in the development of qualification test programs.
- Participate in team meetings and the design verification process.
- Discuss with Suppliers as necessary to optimize design requirements.
- Evaluate and specify the use of various materials and processes to meet product requirements.
- Designs and qualify new parts and constructions to meet product requirements.
- Create relevant engineering documents such as drawings, Inspection & Material sheets, test procedures, technical specifications, and relevant proposal documentation.
- Review the work products.
- Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.
- Adherence to quality process
Qualification And Experience:-
- Minimum Bachelor’s of electrical engineering or equivalent degree in related field.
- 2-3 years relevant Engineering / design experience in rotating machine industry. Experience in designing with materials, manufacturing processes, and methods used for industrial components are desirable.
- Candidates with experience in Rotating machines/variable frequency drives preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with relevant software tools (FEA/MatLab/SPEED) preferred.
- Knowledge of rotating machines / variable frequency drives
- General understanding and knowledge of design processes and techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and team working.
- A willingness to learn is critical
