Schneider Electric is looking for senior level professionals for Battery Management Systems (BMS) & Battery Packs  for its Energy Storage Center of Excellence (CoE). SE’s Energy Storage CoE enables company’s growth through the development of innovative energy storage products that are battery technology-agnostic, scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable

Incumbent will be responsible for:-

  • Electrical/Electronics hardware for Battery Management Systems for UPS and Storage applications…including Module Level, Rack Level and System level.
  • Design, development, testing, debugging, documenting and launch to mass production BMS & Battery Packs that meet regulatory and safety standards, and reliability requirements.
  • Developing schematics, reviewing layout design, selecting components, performing worst case analysis etc.
Qualifications – External:-
  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Physics or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Electronics
  • 3+ years in battery management system

Competencies:-

Required:-

  • Demonstrated experience developing BMS for energy storage/EV applications
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs etc
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for Energy storage application
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using simulation tools (for example P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience working with various Sensing Technologies
  • Experience working with Contactors and Relays
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication protocols.
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products.
  • Knowledge of regulatory & safety requirements such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730, etc.
  • Experience launching Electronics offers to high volume mass production
  • Experience working with Inhouse/OEM/ODM Models.

Desired:-

  • Hands on experience of working with LV and HV systems (>400V).
  • Working knowledge of UPS and Storage Applications
  • Working knowledge of BMS algorithms
  • Design for Six Sigma
  • Working knowledge of various battery chemistries like Lead Acid and Li-ion
  • Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytic, strategic and critical thinking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Being able to “think out of the box”
