Electronics Design Engineer – Pressure and Temperature

Job Description

  • Report to the local EICP Hardware Design Leader
  • Work as a Team member with local/global electronics team
  • Work with global teams to develop and contribute to Emerson’s pressure and temperature industrial measurement products
  • Execute new product development activities such as: create new circuit designs, leverage existing designs, identify and use proven technologies, and perform qualification testing
  • Prepare schematics, and printed circuit board layouts, participate in peer reviews and prepare required technical documentation
  • Provide technical support of products
  • Be Innovative and contribute to the quality development culture within organization

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:-

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering
  • 2-5 years of applicable experience
  • Knowledgeable in microcontroller-based board level design, schematic entry, printed circuit board design, layout, and prototype verification and testing.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools
  • Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:-

  • Experience in executing new circuit board designs
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, including intrinsic safety
  • Familiarity with industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. 4-20mA, HART, Modbus)
  • Experience in EMC requirements and design techniques
