Electrical Design Engineer (Utility)

• Design and engineering of electrical system and components like switchgear, transformer, cables, UPS, DG sets etc. for electrical utilities of manufacturing processes in compliance with industry standard.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Maintenance and mechanical utilities to understand project requirement and develop the optimized power distribution system.
• Development of electrical layouts and schedules like earthing, lighting, and cabling layouts/schedules along with consultants.
• Collaborate with vendors and consultant of various equipment and system to ensure completion of project within timelines.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, providing technical guidance and support to technicians and contractors as needed
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose root causes of equipment failures, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, promoting a culture of workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
• Develop the MIS and regular reports to ensure the project execution on time.

Qualification & Certification Required:-

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

Work Experience:-

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing electrical systems. Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Technology Platform:-

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IS,IEC etc), with the ability to ensure compliance in design and installation.
• Experience with switchgears, transformers, cable sizing, variable frequency drives (VFDs),electrical layouts and schedules.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
