Job Description

  • Increases profitability by driving design changes
  • Facilitate cross functional workshops to develop cost reduction ideas.
  • Lead technical discussions and cross-functional project meetings.
  • Visit suppliers (global locations) to analyze their manufacturing process/materials/tooling costs.
  • Work with the Test and Validation group to plan and maintain timing to validate the cost-reduction ideas.
  • Present cost reduction ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Design to Cost by generating design alternatives to achieve the product cost targets.
  • Provide relevant reporting for cost decisions (status reports of ongoing activities, progress towards savings target implementation, and forward workshop planning).
  • Drive design changes through engineering systems using established engineering processes (e.g. CPR, SRC, TRB, and CRB).

Qualifications And Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with general technical understanding of Electronic/Mechanical components is required.
  • Min. 3-8 years of previous design engineering experience within electronics (camera hardware design and Braking ECU design).
  • Previous cost reduction by design improvement experience is desired.
  • Flexible, open minded, self-motivated and with an ability to lead teams without direct authority
  • Fluent in English language.
