Job Description

  • Responsible for handling the movement of goods (Inbound & Outbound) & ensuring material flow in plant.
  • Responsible for ensuring on time delivery of goods.
  • Responsible for handling and managing Import, Exports & warehouse.
  • Responsible for Freight finalization with Logistics service providers for getting lowest shipment cost.
  • Responsible for ensuring Customer Logistic related Requirements (OEM’S) e.g. MMOG.
  • Responsible to work with relevant parties to develop a plan for what goods need to be shipped when and where. Logistics TL should make sure that all parties, including shippers, transporters, and receivers, are clear on their duties, such as when and who is to receive packages.
  • Responsible for scheduling shipping, Logistics TL must anticipate and prepare all relevant legal paperwork. For example, if a batch of goods must be shipped through customs, the logistics manager must make ensure that all necessary documentation is made available to authorities.
  • Responsible to train Team member in proper methods of shipping and handling goods, as well as relay any special instructions.
  • Responsible for racking all goods moving within a supply chain, making sure that they have been shipped and received according to schedule. When mistakes occur, Logistics Team Leader must correct the error and reconfigure the logistics plan accordingly.
  • Responsible to inform Team member how operations are proceeding, as well as notify them of any issues needing special attention.
  • Responsible for preparing & developing backup plans to fix the situation and keep goods moving.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of transportation & distribution operation in a manner consistent with customer service, cost and corporate strategic requirements.  Controlled and coordinated from the manufacturing site interaction between 10 carriers, a private fleet and six distribution centers for delivery to end customer locations Responsible for communicating, coordinating quality programs to various Departments.

Qualifications:-

  • Any Graduate with Knowledge of Export, Imports & Exposure to Packaging Improvement.
  • Diploma In International Business Management, Logistics Management & Export Import.
  • Special Training received for IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) preferable

Experience / Other Key Skills:-

  • Total 5-8 years of experience in Shipping & Manufacturing with prior experience of managing and Approving Hazardous Cargo shipments in Maersk Line for EUROPE, MESAF & NAM Region.
  • Good knowledge of Customs clearance.
