Documentation Engineer

Responsibilities:-

• Work with quality assurance of documents and tasks and follow given quality procedures.
• Follow the machinery directives (table of contents) while working on technical manuals.
• Work with product experts and project teams in setting and improving standards for Alfa Laval’s product documentation.
• Capable of understanding various types of process components from other suppliers.
• Capable of understanding and analysing the contents of technical documents.
• Compilation of Documents using Adobe Acrobat Professional Software.
• Cross-cultural awareness.
• Should be well conversant with providing PDF interactive output and should have basic knowledge about InDesign and Frame maker software.
• Providing suggestions and ideas for improving documentation and implementing these in daily work procedures.
• Coordinate with various departments within E&S to resolve hurdles/ bottlenecks that might hamper quality of supply and installation.
• Delivering and driving an improvement of current solutions and/ or developing new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
• Carry out root cause analysis & suggest corrective actions for observed non-conformances.
• Contribute in QMS audits.
• Co-ordinate small group / task team to perform specific tasks assigned time to time.
• Lead Doc team in absence of Team co coordinator.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Mechanical / Industrial Production / Chemical graduate or Diploma engineer having relevant experience.
• Minimum 7 -8 years of experience in relevant function within project industry. Preferably in handling international projects and/ or Indian projects of MNCs.

Skills:-

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in having in-depth knowledge about using Adobe Acrobat Professional software, MS tools and Arbotext software’s (Editor and styler), Basic of InDesign are advisable.
• Experience with quality systems and management.
• Good at reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings and specifications.
• Excellent at writing Technical Manuals (like IOM’s).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
