Job Description

Here is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Power – Engineering Manager focusing on Electro Intensive, Energies, Power & Grid, MicroGrid, Transport segments to join our team in Gurgaon, India. We are a Regional Exécution Platform and working closely with all Asia Pacific regional DPACs, HUBs, SO. You will have an opportunity to interact with several internal and external business leaders, including segment leading customers.

Your Mission:-

  • Management of the Project Engineering department dedicated to the Electro-Intensive/ Energy segment.
  • Management of Digital Power Automation Engineers, in charge of high complex projects automation activities
  • Lead innovation and encourage team to take risks, innovate and achieve technical excellence
  • Participate in the evolution of the range of product development, new options in solution proposals, and close interactions with Line of Business / R&D etc.
  • Support project Manager and Tendering team on technical aspects during exécution and bidding stages respectively.
  • Support internal & external Customers and Sales representatives on technical aspects.
  • Manage technical KPIs to contribute overall financial goals for department

Key Responsibilities of the role:-

  • Manage and develop engineering team activity, capacity, and competency
  • Analyze regional technial gaps, ambitions, opportunities and accordingly plan to size the team
  • Ensure compliance with project objectives, timeline, schedule, etc.
  • Organize the activities according to the load, project complexity, and available/required competencies.
  • Manage the Load/capacity of the department and develop versatility in it.
  • Animate the team through a visual short interval management process: follow and animate performance indicators.
  • Ensure technical quality and service level with respect to engineering documents (Network architecture, Technical descriptions, BOM, etc.).
  • Act as coordinator in complex projects, assuring project targets (deliverables, quality, efficiency, etc.).
  • Define engineering training requirements according to skill matrix and competencies target vs. Missions with respect to tools, expertise, and/or segment-specific aspects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental procedures and take an active part in their evolution to meet the needs of the service.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by defining productivity targets and respective actions.
  • Manage the budget of service, follow up and optimize the costs of operation.
  • Manage the sub-contractors (wherever applicable) with appropriate competence, assessment, and relationship.
  • Be the Owner of the continuous improvement related to engineering competency and capacity to meet project exécution requisites.
  • Be responsible for people management including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, wellbeing.
  • Support the line of business in the development and deployment of new products and innovations.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • A Bachelor / Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronics, Computer Science, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 Years of experience in the energy automation project exécution, project team handling, and internal-external customer handling experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the electro-intensive business.
  • Versatile customer experience will be a plus.
