Design Engineer

Design Engineer will be responsible for the support of existing product lines in steam heat tracing and steam jacketing technology relative to mechanical components and functions (Please rephrase as per the BU standard Template)
Keywords: CAD, Routed Systems, Hoses, Metal Piping, Flexible Metal Hoses, Inventor, ECO, Weld standard, Flanges.

• Role – Design Engineer (DE)
• Need to have a good understanding of Piping layout, Materials, Routed systems, Fabrication, and Installation
• Need understanding on calculations, routing, and design for installations
• Understanding the requirements from Lead Designer – interpret red line mark-ups, paper sketches and convert to 3D Models for review.
• Experience in using Autodesk Inventor and add ins used for piping layouts / routed systems

Position Requirements:-
Following additional skills are desirable:

• Ability to understand Design and identify inconsistencies.
• Ability to Automate Drawing process and Quality check process.
• Able to use information for purchased parts and add notes, call outs in the Drawings for production
• Knowledge on calculating Stresses and Thermal Gradients using available tools
• DFM practices and principles
• BOM creation and relevant drawing updates.

Experience and Education:-

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in design engineering or related.
• 1 year or 1000 hours worth of experience using Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred.
• Sufficient experience with 3D modelling and ability to learn Autodesk Inventor very quickly.
• 1 year or 1000 hours worth of experience using Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate and Work effectively with US Team.
