Deputy Manager – Field Quality Assurance

Responsible to carry out regular jobs inspection as per procedures & quality plans, material inspection a site and inspection of spares at vendor works when necessary.

Strategic:-

• Inspection of welding & NDT testing.

Operational:-

• Stores material inspection as per manual, preparation/review quality plans and welding procedures etc.

Financial:-

• Follow Quality procedures w r t testing & inspection to avoid unit/equipment outage so that financial implication to be avoided.

People development & growth:-

• In order to develop welders & welding supervisors, impart trainings to minimise weld repair to maintain good quality in welding.

Role & Responsibilities:-

• Coordination and carry out inspection at site with O&M engineers as per FQP.
• Arranging vendor inspection, Issue of IR and MDCC after completion of inspection.
• All Inspection activities as per approved FQP & procedures for BTG & BOP areas.
• Identification of primary & secondary leakage in unit forced shut down (BTL).
• Carry out all quality checks during boiler tube leakage rectification works with effectively as per quality procedures.
• Conducting welder qualification test for both IBR and NON-IBR welders & maintain the welder performance/evaluation records.
• Witnessing the dye penetrate test, ultrasonic test and evaluating its results, Interpretation of radiography films & maintain/tracking reports as per codes.
• Safety: Follow CHETNA safety standards at site to achieve Zero incident.
• Participate in relevant trainings of CHETNA as per the requirement.
• Maintain the IMS in department as per system.
• Adherence to PPE’s as per work requirements -Self,
• Maintain work place management as per 5S system.

Qualifications:-

• With Degree : 04 – 10 yrs.

Essential Area of Expertise:-

• Boiler Pressure parts inspection.
• Welding inspection.
• Material inspection.
• Preparation & Review of WPS, PQR & WPQ etc.,
• Destructive test & Non- destructive test.

Location:-

• Mundra, Gujarat.

Desired Area of Expertise:-

• Good knowledge in relevant(ASME, AWS, Power piping, IS) codes & standards.
• Inspection at vendor works & TPI coordination.
• ISO 9001:2015.
