DCS Control Engineer-FY23 (Water Solutions)

• DCS engineer directly responsible for Control Design for greenfield & retrofit projects for Water Solutions
• Engage in Implementation and Testing of projects
• Engage in Start-Up and field service activities at water sites

Primary Duties and Accountabilities:-

• Site walk down for site surveys & data collections
• Design, implementation of controls & graphic for water projects
• Process simulation & testing
• Pre-FAT, FAT & clean-up after FAT
• Verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices
• Site commissioning, start-up & field service activities
• Identifying and communicating areas of potential process and design improvements to project manager
• Compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements
• Working with contractors / sub-contractors
• Fostering smooth collaboration and communication with project stake holders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors)

Required Skills:-

• B. Tech / B.E (ECE, EEE, I&C, E&I) is essential
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Water & Wastewater projects
• Skills in Water & Wastewater projects Control Design, tuning, process sequencing and protection philosophies
• Advanced troubleshooting, set priorities, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills
• Excellent language and communication skills, both verbal and written required
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and commissioning documents
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from groups of managers, clients and customers
• Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
• Experience working for Water & Wastewater projects
• Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics
• Experience with designing and implementing control system configuration changes
• Added advantage will be proficiency with one or more DCS platforms (e.g. Emerson Ovation, ABB Pro Control / Bailey INFI 90, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Honeywell TDC3000, maxDNA, metsoDNA, Alstom Alspa320 etc.).
