Job Description

Responsibilities:-

Cost controlling:-

  • Preparation of budget for business unit
  • Preparation of revised forecasts for the business unit
  • Creation and allocation of budgets and monitor the project on under/over utilization
  • Approval of purchase invoices of Business unit by ensuring adequate documentation such as Purchase orders, Vendor invoices, time sheets etc.,
  • Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of cost bookings of the business unit
  • Co-ordination with outsourced service vendors and setting up the various processes to ensure financial compliance and smooth flow of activities
  • Monitoring and providing monthly expense accruals for the business unit (for services received but invoice not received)
  • Monitoring and ensuring monthly invoicing to Customers
  • Monitoring of open Purchase orders and ensuring that only required POs are active in System
  • Monitoring and ensuring time booking by the various teams of the Business unit.
  • Close of purchase orders: Make sure all requirement are met and manage provisions
  • Monitor use of budget and report on risk of overspending as well as potential risks.
  • Interactions with managers/management and addressing their requirements
  • Maintenance of headcounts of the retained org and the cost

Financial planning & analysis:-

  • Preparation of financial analysis of business unit
  • Determination of hourly cost rate for various units within the business unit
  • Detailed analysis of budgeted cost vs actuals for various units within the business unit
  • Management Meetings: Prepare (standard) material/presentation, organize, facilitate and document meetings and actions needed
  • Development and implementation of improved cost controlling tools etc.,

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Proven experience in cost controlling
  • Excellent English communication skills – both in writing and in speaking
  • You hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent.
  • You have a natural high attention to details
  • You will not hesitate to step in and provide help when needed in your team
  • You are characterized as a strong analytical hands-on-person and thrive with multiple tasks and challenges at hand.
  • Excellent skills in Excel. Experience from working with business intelligence systems is an advantage.
  • You enjoy collaborating with colleagues around the world
