Job Description

On Site activities:-

  • Supervise and coordinate civil and construction activities related to the project
  • Coordinate different site disciplines
  • Inspect construction site to monitor progress and conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards

Contractor Management:-

  • Establish construction procedure requirements for contractors
  • Ensure contractors execute construction in accordance with contract, local codes and standards
  • Monitor contractors’ organization plans, resourcing and performance

Proposal/Contract Management:-

  • Prepare contract bid lists
  • Provide assistance and guidance in contract preparations, bid tab reviews and sub contractor selection
  • Assist bid reviews and contract award activities

Technical management:-

  • Input to drawing approvals, plot plans and designs (p)
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to supervise the works
  • Support surveying to lay out installations and estbalish reference points, grades and elevations to guide constructions
  • Assist construction related acceptance tests

Project Management:-

  • Assist reviews, evaluate and recommend change order disposition / Claim Management to ensure effective trend analysis and cost control
  • Assist reviews, evaluate method statements and risk assessments and ensure these are appropriately implemented and maintained
  • Ensure company required project planning and scheduling controls are appropriately implemented and maintained

Claim Management:-

  • Identify and inform Project Manager / Director on claim opportunities for onsite constructiion works. Defends the claims from subcontractors with approriate planning and controlling measures for onsite works.Risk, Opportunity,  Issue Management
  • Throughout construction phase of the project, identifies and assesses all risk factors utilizing available risk measurement tools.
  • Devises suitable strategies for risk mitigation (elimination, reduction)
  • Implement procedure for solving issues and problems (identification, analysis, actions and controlling) with all necessary internal and external partners
  • Identifies and minimizes non-conformance costs
  • Ensures risk monitoring in all project phases

General Experiences:-

  • Total 20+ Years experience in Power Transmission and Distribution field in Transmission Line Projects.
  • Total 15 + years of experience in managing the EHV Turnkey Substation Projects as Site / Construction manager in international Domain.
  • Experience in Oceanic / Pan Pacific region will be added advantage.
  • Experience in working on FIDIC Contracts (YELLOW BOOK)
