In the role as a Construction Manager (Solar), You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and the following tasks would be a part of your job profile :
- Review the work progress on daily basis, responsible for construction activities at site.
- Identify the resources required to complete every step of the construction process (labor, equipment, tools etc.)
- Able to “walk” the project in the planning phase and capture near 100% of all expected tasks and materials required.
- Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with EPC subcontractors and vendors.
- Develop and maintain project timeline, identify critical path, and key milestones for project’s success.
- Communicate with utilities and authority having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.
- Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.
- Prepare the array for commissioning and in many cases perform the commissioning process.
- Responsible for material receiving and inventory control.
- Maintains adherence to Company policies, quality, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
- Identifies and corrects gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks and provides recommendations to management.
- Carry out any other tasks delegated by the company.
Qualification And Experience:-
We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- At least 12 years’ work experience in a construction manager/ site in-charge capacity in the context of utility scale Solar energy infrastructure. Specific experience in the utility-scale solar PV sector with at least two project more than 150 MW each as or Construction manager.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated Experience installing and troubleshooting PV systems.
- Electrical knowledge/training.
- Must have good prioritization, organization, analytical and planning skills.
- Ability to organize thoughts and ideas and communicate congruently.
- Competent skills using Microsoft office suite: Outlook, Excel, Word.
