The mission of the Sales Intelligence function is to identify and translate market opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve individual, team and company sales profit target. To support the Sales and Marketing Business Units in creation of market for our existing portfolio and in finding new ways to attract new customers, maximize value of existing customers, and retain the most profitable ones.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:-
MARKET FOCUS:-
- Build strong market insights—track market potential, penetration, and customer value.
- Collect & validate customer data using internal/external sources.
- Coordinate market sizing activities (Potential & Addressable Market).
- Analyze customer lifecycle, buying behavior, and value.
- Identify actions to retain, develop, and acquire customers.
- Support territory planning across accounts, regions, and business types.
BUSINESS ANALYTICS:-
- Track weekly plans and ensure progress toward annual sales targets.
- Develop intuitive reports and perform ad-hoc market/competitive analysis.
- Support annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and territory/account-level breakdowns.
- Reconcile plan vs. performance for customer business units.
- Collaborate with sales teams to resolve issues and improve sales performance.
- Provide clear analytic insights and presentations to leadership.
- Leverage customer insights to maximize revenue opportunities.
SALES EXCELLENCE:-
- Act as the coordination bridge between Sales and internal teams.
- Deliver actionable insights to support Retain–Develop–Acquire strategies.
- Prepare customer lists, ensure proper segmentation, and validate campaign inputs.
- Prioritize customer reactivation based on defined criteria (recency, credit status).
- Support relationship management with central utilities and agencies (CEA/PSDF).
- Enable customer acquisition through targeted segmentation and hunting campaigns.
- Measure and report effectiveness of sales & marketing activities.
- Lead weekly sales planning and review meetings across sales functions.
CRM ADMINISTRATION (Salesforce):-
- Manage and update customer data, contacts, and profiles in Salesforce.
- Review weekly/monthly plans and maintain high data quality.
- Work with Marketing, Sales, IT, and Strategy to enhance CRM processes.
- Analyze CRM data, share insights, and recommend improvements.
- Act as the primary contact for CRM issues, enhancements, and training needs.
- Support impact tracking, scorecard reporting, and CRM-driven KPIs.
Critical Success Factors - Essential:-
- SalesForce CRM (Administrator Level)
- Business Masters degree preferred
- SAP
- Data/Business Analytics
- Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook (VB, macro-programming desired)
- Masters Degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- More than 12 years of experience in sales, business development, or market expansion within the EPC Business.
