Mott MacDonald Recruitments Business Head - Design Industrial Sector Job in Mumbai, Maharashtra

The Business Head (BH) will lead a portfolio of projects delivering Design services to a range of clients across the industrial sector pan India.
The incumbent will lead and direct the portfolio in order to drive and deliver profitable sustainable growth, alongside managing the day-to-day operational business.
The BH will be expected to act as an advocate for Mott MacDonald, articulating the brand, vision and value proposition, and be responsible for managing several complex relationships and priorities to ensure delivery of positive social outcomes and business success.

You will excel in the following key deliverables:-

Develop and Lead operations within the Portfolio by working with key stakeholders to develop strategic business plans and budgets in due consultation with Account Leaders, Practice Leaders and Resource Managers
Grow and nurture external relationships with key clients. Assist Account Leaders in finalising and implementing CEPs for Key Accounts
Be accountable for overall delivery of budgetary targets for revenue, sales and Business Development spend through the effective monitoring and tracking of projects and delivery
Act as Bid Principal in developing and implementing winning strategy
Preposition MM for Design opportunities suitably among the key stakeholders
Evolve and implement a strategy with clear action plans to enhance brand image and differentiate from competition
Assist Practice Leader in implementing Practice Plan, which will help the business in becoming more efficient
Assist Project Principals in managing on-going projects- profitability, change orders, stakeholder management and working capital
Ensure adequate staffing as per business requirements with utilisation as per budget with necessary support from the Division Resource Manager
Monitor performance of Project Principals, BD Managers, Project Managers and give timely feedback to improve performance
Identify the emerging risks and opportunities on projects and escalate to Divisional General Manager with the correct strategies to mitigate
Enhance staff engagement in talent management, improving staff morale and productivity
Develop a strong team with clear succession plans
Implement MM’s Business Management Systems with full compliance
Ensure delivery teams are aligned to overall HSWE on projects with the right reporting and analysis to ensure continuous improvement
Establish and nurture an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture

Candidate Specification:-

Preferably MBA/ Bachelor’s in mechanical/Civil in from a reputed university
Significant demonstrable experience in winning and delivering Design projects in the industrial sector
Should have handled a large portfolio of projects generating significant revenues
Has led a large multi-disciplinary team
Proactive leadership attributes
Other essentials: Market facing, Communication and networking skills, Paper publications
