Associate Tech Lead – Automation Testing

Role And Responsibilities:-

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases following company and industry best practices and standards
• Participate in definition of testing best practices, data management approach, coding standards, defect metrics and reduction strategies, and root cause analysis
• Design, implement, and execute a variety of manual test cases including acceptance, functional, and regression tests
• Opportunities to develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases following company and industry best practices and standards
• Actively participate in Agile Scrum team process with other team members
• Serve as quality ambassador for team and assist in building quality into every phase of the development process
• Perform code reviews for other Automation Engineers

Requirements:-

• Experience with one or more of the following software languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with creating, updating, and executing automated test cases using Selenium, Nightwatch.js, Cypress, or similar testing tools
• Experience with creating, updating, and executing API automated test cases using Postman, Karate, Spok or similar technology
• Basic understanding of software testing principles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly triage and escalate issues
• Strong level of ownership, accountability, and ability to prioritize work tasks effectively
• Passion for quality, learning, and personal growth
• Understanding of Agile Scrum principles
• Strong database query skills using Postgres, Vertica, SQL Server, or similar technology
• Experience with Jira (preferred) or other test case management and defect tracking tools
• Experience with automated build/deployment tools, such as GitLab or Jenkins

Desired but Optional Skills:-

• Data analysis experience using R
• Performance testing principles and tools, such as LoadRunner or jMeter
• Building industry, facilities management, HVAC equipment, and/or BAS knowledge

Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technological experience
• 6+ years software testing experience, with a minimum of 5 years of automation experience
