Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Works with customers to develop and detail electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Supervises supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Supports fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Investigates new technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Design and development of state-of-the art electronics for commercial aviation systems.
  • Duties will include circuit design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
  • Technical support for production and test of electronic products.
  • Support projects involving digital and analog circuit design.
  • Responsible for digital design, worst case circuit analysis, and communications systems
  • Ability to simplify circuits and explain the underlying concepts clearly
  • Contribute to product reliability. Conduct FMEA and DRBFM.
  • Develop high speed interface-based circuit designs and work with mechanical teams for thermal analysis and electromechanical packaging.
  • Use DFM, DFA and DFT concepts to build manufacturable and testable designs.
  • Works under Minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):-

  • Bachelor’s in engineering degree or higher
  • Experience with digital/analog power electronics
  • Circuit design and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):-

  • Experience on intel processor-based architectures and design interfaces.
  • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Analysis experience. Good understanding of grounding and shielding concepts, chassis design.
  • Electronics oriented work experience
  • Design and Testing of Power Supply designs
  • Design and Testing of Analog Circuits
  • Design and Testing of Integrated Hardware Circuits
  • Design and Testing of DDR4 interfaces, SATA/SSD, 1G/10G Ethernet
  • Selection of components to be used in Avionics Electronics Designs, like but not limited to, DDR, memory, storage media flash, ethernet controllers.
  •  Strong understanding of ARINC 429, ARINC 818 and MIL 1553.Experienced in RS422/RS232, PC104, Windows Embedded, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, ARINC 664 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces
  •  Simulation experience and creation of behavioural models with MATLAB and SABER.
  • Experience with Power Integrity analysis, Hyperlynx SI.
  •  Experience with Mentor suite of eCAD tools
  • Basic understanding on electronic manufacturing processes which include PCB fabrication, component assembly, ICT, FCT, EOL etc.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for interpersonal complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working optimally under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Must be very proficient in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.

Typical Education & Experience:-

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 to 8 years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (E.g. Master +4 years’ related work experience)
