Job Description

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:-

  • Lead the O&M function achieve operational excellence and setting up of O&M processes for ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime of operational assets
  • Implement best practices to maximize the operational efficiency and safety of the assets.
  • Implementing Emergency Restoration systems to manage and respond to emergencies, coordinating with on-site teams and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Implementation of preventive and predictive measures and deployment of new technologies for achieving the operational and business excellence for all operational assets.
  • Leading the teams for successful commissioning of all under construction assets for defect free and First-time right commissioning.
  • Implementation of Cost optimization techniques to optimize the operational costs.
  • Prepare, review and submission of technical and budgetary proposals various project initiatives, bids and end to end delivery
  • Coordinating and engage with regulatory bodies like CTU, RPC’s and RLDC’s to comply with day-to-day operations requirement and for first time commissioning of transmission elements.
  • Coordination with OEM’s and Internal stake holders for day-to-day business activities.
  • Well verged with various O&M cost saving techniques and able to contribute from day on Strategic initiatives like Solar Implementation at SS, CCR implementation etc.

Critical Success Factors – Essential:-

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • At least 20+ years overall in Operations and Maintenance function of transmission assets.
  • High Level of Quality and safety consciousness in Operations and Maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of Transmission line & substation equipment in AIS and GIS.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in the power transmission industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Knowledge on IEGC 2010 and other relevant regulations from Ministry of Power.

Critical Success Factors – Desirable:-

  • Experience in control and Protection systems, Switching operations
  • Experience in erection, testing, pre commissioning, PLCC, OPGW commissioning, SCADA
  • Experience of Transmission Line Construction and operation.
