Job Description

Main Responsibilities:-

  • To establish and maintain systems and processes to ensure material availability with proper supplier communication and inventory control
  • To conceptualize and implement measures in operating procedures to optimize Inventory Management
  • Constantly develop and improve the procedures for Material planning and Inventory management
  • Organize and follow up of the performance and efficiency of the supply chain using Flowteam KPI’s (i.e. SQDMPI)
  • Ensure full support to sourcing team by organizing defined meetings with suppliers to ensure required delivery performance level
  • Ensure On Time In Full execution of new product development projects in co-ordination with Production, Engineering & Sourcing
  • Following the Cycle counting process and proposing CAPA for the Variance identified. Focus on Root Cause resolution with effective communication and follow-up with Engineering, Production and Sourcing teams
  • Benchmark group companies, external companies, and drive / lead projects for lean Supply Chain systems
  • Plan and schedule the production of the Std., Std. Plus & Non-Std. machines (Package and block) as per the priorities to ensure maximum space utilization.
  • Plan and procure local and imported production components at right time without creating stock out or excess inventory
  • Co-ordinate with sourcing to reduce lead time of all the critical components
  • Balance workload of suppliers as per Plan/Forecasted strategy
  • Generate & check that PO are done to suppliers according to schedule. Communicate & Acknowledge PO to suppliers through Be2NET
  • Track on-time delivery of PO from suppliers, especially for Critical ones, to anticipate parts being late and/or rejected, and find solution to avoid production disturbances
  • Monitor supplier stocks vs Contract agreement & Delivery Performance
  • Record evidence of supplier delivery failures, generate Penalties & inform Sourcing
  • Supplier delivery of 100% for call-off parts & 95% for other parts.
  • Organize PO flow to improve FTR-Material & reduce Take Out, to gain in efficiency
  • Propose procurement process improvements
  • Track inbound performance, analyze deviations and raise red flag
  • Create Visual flow chart to map the various processes and work in accordance with the processes
  • Track the rejections & take timely actions to avoid stock discrepancies.
  • Active participation in DN process and ensure effective DN implementation ensuring smooth Phase in and Phase out
  • Co-ordinate with sourcing, quality control, stores & other functions in manufacturing for timely actions related to production materials.
  • Interact with project, proposal, marketing, customer center & supporting them with necessary data for new enquiries.
  • To plan and control production as per the customer requirement & the product portfolio.
  • To control and monitor the orders and procurement of the material with minimum inventory and down time
  • Ensure effectiveness for all sort MES activities
  • Ensure to adapt new technology & digitalization for further developments.
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
  • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
  • Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
  • Raise red flags in time to the management if situations appear to be going out of control
  • To ensure compliance with Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice.

Educational requirements:-

  • Production/Mechanical Engineer, Graduate/PG in equivalent.
  • Degree in management will be an additional asset.

Skills and experience:-

  • +7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Sourcing  equal through experience
  • Knowledge of CNG & Reciprocating compressors will be an added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of production planning and execution. Fluent in English, and Indian languages like Hindi and Marathi
  • Excellence in IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MES, Office 365,ILM etc.

  • Prepared to work within demanding production environment

  • Exercise considerable initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals
  • Excellent organization & problem-solving skills
