Assistant Manager – Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:-

Equipment & Process Maintenance:-

• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance of solar
  module manufacturing equipment such as:
  
  • Stringer machines
  • Laminators
  • Tabber & interconnector machines
  • Framing machines
  • EL tester, Flash tester
  • Glass washer, EVA/Backsheet cutting machines
  • Minimize downtime and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Utility & Facility Maintenance:-

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of utilities including:
  
  • Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS)
  • Compressed air systems
  • HVAC & clean room environment
  • Water systems, ETP/STP
  • Maintain plant infrastructure and facility upkeep.

Team Management:-

• Lead, guide, and monitor maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Allocate jobs, review performance, and ensure skill development through training.
• Ensure discipline and adherence to SOPs on the shop floor.

Safety & Compliance:-

• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, statutory norms, and safety procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, tool box talks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper LOTO, PPE usage, and electrical safety practices

Documentation & Reporting:-

• Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records, spare consumption, and AMC details.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
• Support internal, customer, and certification audits (ISO, IEC, etc.).

Spare & Cost Management:-

• Manage critical spare inventory and ensure availability.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely procurement.
• Identify cost-reduction and energy-saving opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:-

• Implement TPM, Kaizen, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Participate in new machine installation, commissioning, and trials.
• Support process improvement and capacity enhancement projects.

Skills & Competencies:-

• Strong knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems
• PLC basics and automation understanding
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• TPM & preventive maintenance planning
• Leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with ISO, EHS, and statutory compliance
