Job Description

Parts & MDM Support Under Service Product Lifecycle management is responsible for supervising the complete lifecycle of the parts and Technical specs used in Wind turbines, which are maintained via enthusiastic service contracts. Moreover the department enables geographically-dispersed, multi-disciplinary, teams to strategically collaborate with partners and customers using trusted, up-to-date product information. The department is responsible for delivering supply chain agility, business continuity solutions, data governance and traceability provided by the department enables Vestas as an Organization to propel down costs, accelerate time to market, and deliver the highest levels of quality and compliance on the parts and technical specifications. The main function areas of the department pertains to BOM management, Change and configuration management, Product Data & Variability Management, Service Process Management , Project and design Collaboration , Governance and Workflow

Responsibilities:-

  • Create and Maintain Components & Tools and its specifications as per Vestas Standards with first time right approach and Quality
  • Coordinate and implement Project requests and Operation requests within the given lead time and Quality
  • Handle cases through Change Management (ECM) and PTC Windchill
  • Materials Extension and SAP master data update in SAP ECC 6.0 Change Request execution in PTC Windchill
  • Perform review and duplicate checks in the system for the existing spare parts, consumables, and main components
  • Work as an Interface between Technical Leads and Customers to implement Technical Solutions in PTC Windchill and SAP
  • Able to understand and explain the Components and Tools Specification & its Technical data sheets and use the data for Materials Creation and execution
  • Monitor and Provide Periodic reporting on the deliverables by the team to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the delivery of outputs according to the defined expectations and KPI
  • Continuous improvement of process, methods, and deliveries with simplicity.

Qualifications:-

  • Minimum a bachelor/master in the relevant area, e.g., Electrical, Electronics Mechanical or Mechatronic
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience as an Engineer or supervise after Engineering
  • Min 2 years of experience in Wind Turbines industry, On-Site Experience preferred
  • Experience within PLM Windchill and SAP Material master module
  • Overall technical experience & exposure in handling technical aspects related to material specifications, PLM, SAP MM, and Documentation
  • Wind turbine Site experience will be advantageous, experience with leadership would be advantageous (small task team, project, or similar)
  • Experience within standardization, modularization, and engineering change management
  • Knowledge and experience in Excel and SQL databases will be advantages

Competencies:-

  • Customer-oriented and have the ability to understand the complete business value chain
  • Capable of building up an intensive network across cultures and time zones
  • Team member with effective communication, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of technical concepts related to wind turbine mechanical and electromechanical components
  • Ability to understand and read Mechanical components 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, and electrical schematics
  • BOM management experience and should have a good understanding of design, Manufacturing, and Service BOMs
  • Understand New material creation workflow in SAP and PLM applications like PTC Windchill
  • Competency to understand material specifications and data sheets related to mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical components
