Job Description

  • Responsible for performing Power system load flow studies for all platforms to validate the components based on the turbine design.
  • Responsible for the preparation of designs, specifications, analysis and recommendations for development of new products.
  • Performing Electrical calculations on component and on system level to identify the working region, capability, efficiency and dynamic behaviours.
  • To understand requirements, conduct necessary analysis, calculations, simulations, Develop and evaluate Power electronics design concepts as applicable to turbine Generators.
  • Understanding and design of Electrical Drive training system for wind power Systems Developing testing requirements for sub system test (back to back testing).
  • Supporting the team on preparing requirement specification for wind converter based on power electronic concepts.

Responsibilities:-

  • Power electronic converter circuit analysis and designWorks closely with supplier software team to verify the control functions in converter as per the turbine specification.
  • Working  with wind turbine controls team on sequential operation of converter with turbine controller.
  • Work  closely with Electrical component owners to develop a component from supplier as per Specification.
  • Preparation of Excel tracking sheets
  • Responsible for cost-out activities in own area.
  • Support and development of innovative ideas out of the team and other sources.
  • Ensure process adherence to organization development process.
  • Connect and establish collaboration with different functions like production, logistics, installation and services.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Master Degree in Power Electronics / controls Engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience

Required professional experience:-

  • Overall 5-8 years of experience with design, modelling and testing of power electronic converter, modelling or power system simulations in wind power business.
  • Must have Strong expertise in simulation and analysis of electrical system and electro mechanical system.
  • Motor control concepts like FOC,DTC and Power flow concepts in wind turbine. Etc.
  • Experience  in circuit and system simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, Power Digsilent ..etc
  • The knowledge on software and programming skills (ex. C, C++, JIRA, SourceTree, Git, etc.).
  • The knowledge on power system time domain and frequency domain modelling and stability analysis.
  • The knowledge on electromagnetic and electromechanical transients of power system devices following abnormal events, like voltage events or frequency events.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environment.
  • Global exposure is added advantage.

Specific required skills:-

  • Experiences in power electronic converter applied to non-conventional power generation systems.
  • The knowledge on controller design across different applications in machine drive systems and power system dynamics.
  • You are able to document and structured your to work.
  • Good experience in managing projects with medium to high level complexities.
  • Ability to describe complex technical issues in a simple and comprehensive manner
