SILK Issues Tender for 13.5 KW Solar Plant

The last date for the submission of bids is December 26, 2018 and the time for the completion of project from the date of issuance of award will be 20 days.

Government has tendered 26 GW of renewable energy: IREDA Chairman

Steel Industrials Kerala Ltd, a government of Kerala enterprise has issued tender inviting bids for the construction of a 13.5 KW grid connected solar power plant in Kannur, Kerala.

The last date for the submission of bids is December 26, 2018 and the time for the completion of project from the date of issuance of award will be 20 days.

The tender document mentions that Tenderers should have previous experience in executing similar projects and the experience certificate should be uploaded with the submission of the bids.

Earlier this year around forty one government/aided schools in Kerala will set-up solar power unit in their premises by the end of the current academic year.

The move was backed by Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT) in association with State Energy Management Centre.

India has an ambition of installing 100 GW of solar capacity by the year 2022 under the national solar mission.

In the recently held United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) in Kotwice Poland, the World Bank lauded India’s renewable energy push in its report Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) 2018.

“Many of the world’s largest energy-consuming countries significantly improved their renewable energy regulations since 2010”, the report mentioned.
