EXICOM wins Tender to Deploy 2000 EV Chargers in India

The deployment would cover 1800 numbers of 3.3 KW AC Chargers and 200 number of 15 KW of DC Fast Chargers.

Under the Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) procurement program, EXICOM has won tender to deploy Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers at different locations in the country.

The deployment would cover 1800 numbers of 3.3 KW AC Chargers and 200 number of 15 KW of DC Fast Chargers. Cars procured from TATA Tigor and Mahindra e-Verito will be charged at these charging points.

According to EXICOM, the chargers are fully compliant with the Bharat AC and DC specifications released by the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) earlier this year; it will allow consumers to pay through multiple options (Debit/Credit Card, BHIM as well as UPI).

“We are grateful and excited to participate in this project and support the ambitious plan of Indian Government and NITI Aayog to push Electric vehicles. We thank EESL for their efforts in consolidating this market and providing necessary impetus to the industry, said Anant Nahata, Managing Director of EXICOM.

 He further added “this will also drive down costs & carbon emissions. Such initiatives will create local manufacturing facilities and grow technical competencies for the long-term growth of the EV industry in India”.

“The company has already been empaneled by leading automobile manufacturers in India and is actively working to collaborate with both public and private organizations. Presently EXICOM is offering both EV Charging solutions for home and public charging for 2W, 3W, Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles,” the company said.

“Well suited for Indian rugged conditions, these are suitable for deployment at residential, commercial and parking locations,” it added.
