NTPC commissions 45 MW of Bhadla Solar Power Plant

NTPC Ltd has commissioned the Bhadla Solar Power Plant with 45 MW capacity, taking company’s overall capacity to 48,188 MW.

India’s largest power generator NTPC Ltd has commissioned another 45 MW of its Bhadla solar power plant in Rajasthan and with this the company’s total installed capacity has become 48,188 MW.

Last month, the company had commissioned 115 MW of the solar power plant.

NTPC, which contributes nearly 24 per cent of the country’s total power generation, has plans to set up 10,000 MW renewable projects by 2022.

The company now has 19 coal based, seven gas based, 10 solar PV, one hydro and nine subsidiaries or joint venture power stations. NTPC currently has capacity of over 23,000 MW under implementation at 23 locations across the country including 4,300 MW being undertaken by joint venture and subsidiary companies.
